13th Annual Budweiser Wing Fling - The 13th Annual Budweiser Wing Fling was held
on Saturday, March 21, 2009 from 11:30am to 4:00pm at Hugh Macrae Park in
Wilmington, North Carolina. Major changes from previous years included age
restrictions (limited to 21 and over), a VIP program, and higher entrance fees. The event
included three bands and a wing competition among eleven area restaurants. There
were over 10 corporate sponsors of the event including two local radio stations and RA
Jeffrey's Distribution Company. Wing Fling 2009 sold out 4000 general admission and
1000 VIP tickets prior to the event date.

2008-09 Cameron Product Sales - Delta Tau sold products with the Cameron School of
Business (CSB) name including long-sleeve t-shirts, short sleeve t-shirts, mixing
glasses, travel mugs, and USB drives during the 2008-09 academic year. Products were
sold on campus in Cameron Hall and during the CSB graduation receptions. With the
encouragement and support of the CSB faculty and administration, Delta Tau is proud to
continue offering this service to the school.

2008 CFSME Silent Auction - Delta Tau was proud to co-host the 19th Annual Silent
Auction with our professional partner, the Cape Fear Sales & Marketing Executives
(CFSME). The CFSME Silent Auction is an annual event in which
executives/corporations donate items with monetary value to be auctioned to the public
through the use of bid sheets. As a chapter, our role prior to the actual event was
three-fold: (1) contact local businesses to solicit item donations to be auctioned at the
event; (2) design and bundle the donations into unique, interesting item packages ready
for bidding; and (3) manage event set-up preparations. During the event, our role was to
manage ticket and package sales for all patrons. Delta Tau members were able to
solicit goods and certificates for service with a retail value of more than $4,500,
auctioned more than 80 individual packages, and sold more than 100 tickets.

2008 Pig Pickin' - The Pi Sigma Epsilon 4th Annual Pig Pickin’ was a project executed
by the new members as a fundraiser for the chapter as well as the Juvenile Diabetes
Research Foundation. The event provided new members with event planning skills as
well as an opportunity to get to know the organization and each other. More than 200
event attendees enjoyed food from Jeter's All American Grill, games, and a local band
(SmoothOp).

2008 Sherman Lecture Series Marketing Research Project - Upon request from the
UNCW History Department, Delta Tau completed a marketing research project for a
major lecture series hosted by the UNCW history department. The lecture is a
regionally known annual event in which a young yet promising history professor
presents a lecture about his/her work on a current topic. The 2008 lecture was given by
Dr. Ebenezer Obadare from the University of Kansas and was about the post-colonial
state of Africa.

Community Service Projects and Activities

2009 Senior Prom - For the second year in a row, the chapter planned and
implemented a Senior Prom at the local Silver Stream Convalescent home for the
elderly. The event was held on a Saturday, April 4 in the afternoon. The prom included
a 50’s rock n’ roll theme, the crowning of a prom king and queen, dancing and food and
beverages.

2009 Relay for Life - The Delta Tau Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon created a team of 58
members to participate in the New Hanover County Relay for Life event in April 2009. As
a team, we collected money before the event by making donations in person, as well as
donating directly to the organization online. Our team raised more than $800 in
donations.

2008 Cameron Gives Back - Cameron Gives Back is a week long charity drive in which
the Delta Tau chapter coordinated with the UNCW Cameron School of Business as well
as other student organizations to solicit much needed item donations for four different
charities. The charities involved in this 2nd annual event were the Wilmington Food
Bank, Paws Place, Sporting Goods for South Africa, and Hurricane Relief. The Delta
Tau chapter solicited nearly $3,000 worth of items for the four charities.

2008 Thanks-for-Giving - The chapter executed a new charitable project in 2008
entitled “Thanks-for-Giving”. This was a food drive sponsored by Harris Teeter in which
members of the Delta Tau chapter delivered decorated paper bags to the front doors of
local homes and apartments asking them for food donations to benefit the Domestic
Violence Shelter and Services of Wilmington. The chapter retrieved nearly 80 full bags
from the local community.
